Here is a list of dramas that I am currently watching:
Starring: Ahn Jae Hyun and Goo Hye Sun
Episodes seen: 4
Notes: This drama is a huge pain for me. Nothing is pulling me in. I feel like it is a huge burden for me to watch. Initially, I thought that it was a slow start but I have watched four episodes and I have no incentive to watch the rest.
Starring: Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young
Episodes seen: 4
Notes: Last month I stated that after “Fool’s Love” I would focus on this drama. I have yet to complete “Fool’s Love” and with the start of long awaited dramas “School 2015” and “The Producers”, this show has taken a backseat until further notice.
Fool’s Love/ Ho Goo’s Love (2015)
Starring: Choi Woo Shik and UEE
Episodes seen: 11
Notes: There are several reasons why I have not watched any episodes of this drama for the past month. One reason is that I am at the point of the drama where Ho Goo and Do Hee’s relationship takes a turn for a worse and my feels cannot handle what may happen in the next episode. The second reason is due to the new dramas ‘The Producers” and “School 2015” that I am currently hooked on. During my little free time from work I dedicate my time to those newer dramas instead. I also spent my time finishing “The Girl Who Sees Scents”, which I hope to write a review on soon.
Itazura na Kiss ~Love In Tokyo 2~ (2015)
Starring: Furukawa Yuki and Honaka Miki
Episodes seen: 14
Notes: I really do not want this drama to end. I have two more episodes and I am doing my best to drag out this series. I felt like that I developed an affinity for all the characters and I have enjoyed the storyline. Maybe in the future I will look at more dramas starring Miki and Yuki.
Hayate the Combat Butler (2011)
Starring: Hu George and Park Shin Hye
Episodes seen: 8
Notes: Despite the horrible dubbing of Park Shin Hye, I really enjoy watching this drama and the crazy events that unfold. It is a bit different from the manga and anime. It is as if the story has been rebranded, but for the better. This is possibly one of my favourite dramas for the year so far.
The Producers (2015)
Starring: Kim Soo Hyun and Gong Hyo Jin
Episodes seen: 4
Notes: A lot of people were complaining about the first two episodes of the show. The production crew decided to change up the show after episode three. After seeing episodes three and four, personally I think I prefer the original format of the show. I liked the documentary styled concept. It was different from the predictable and typical romantic comedy themes. However, this change is understandable as this drama only has twelve episodes. There isn’t much time to develop the story. I am just disappointed because this drama had the potential to be different but was reduced to a typical drama with foreseeable events.
Who Are You: School 2015 (2015)
Starring: Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim So Hyun
Episodes seen: 10
Notes: I am in love with this show! I think this show is much better than “School 2013”, even sans Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin. The story is centered on orphan Lee Eun Bi that was bullied so much she was pushed to attempt suicide. However, her twin sister Go Eun Byul saved her and has now gone missing. Lee Eun Bi has secretly taken her sister’s identity but all goes downhill when her past bully transfers to her new school and attempts to ruin her life once more. This story actually reminds me of the American show “The Lying Game” as one twin sister has gone missing while the other takes on the identity of her missing twin without anyone’s knowledge. It also reminds me of “Pretty Little Liars” with the mysterious texts from a supposedly deceased friend. Each episode I am on the edge of my seat trying to piece things together and anticipate what will happen next. It is a really great drama.
PS: I really love Sungjae’s character, Gong Tae Kwang. I seem to be always drawn to the second male leads, even if they are a bit on the crazy side.
