Currently Watching Dramas (January, 2016)

Blood (2015)
Starring: Ahn Jae Hyun and Goo Hye Sun
Episodes seen: 16
Rating: 6.0
Notes: I only watched one episode of this drama last month. I am slowly reaching the end of this drama. This drama continues to drag for me.

Healer (2014)
Starring: Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young
Episodes seen: 18
Rating: 6.5
Notes: Why did the writers wait until the end of this drama to make it interesting? Now that several mysteries have been solved, the plot is truly beginning to unfold. The all-new Healer team and their battle against the Farmers is even more interesting than the romance between Young Shin and Jung Hoo.

Orange Marmalade (2015)
Starring: Yeo Jin Goo and Seol Hyun
Episodes seen: 11
Rating: I did not watch any episodes of this drama in the past month and I have no incentive to do so. I will try to finish the drama this month, but I have no plans to write any reviews about it. It was just that bad.

Kill Me, Heal Me (2014)
Starring: Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum
Episodes seen: 2
Rating: N/A
Notes: I started this drama with high expectations. This was one of the most popular dramas in 2014 and its plot has become a common reference in the entertainment world. I have not gotten too far in the series, but I have yet to be disappointed. I was surprised to see Hwang Jung Eum starring in this show. I really enjoyed her acting in “She Was Pretty”, so I really hope that she makes this drama interesting as well.

Switch Girl (2011)
Starring: Kiriyama Renn and Nishiuchi Mariya
Episodes seen: 2
Rating: N/A
Notes: I love the zaniness of Japanese dramas, and this show is full of crazy. The story is almost like a reverse Cinderella story, which is what caught my interest in the first place. I also have not gotten too far in this drama, but it has been funny so far. I hope it continues to be an uphill road for the rest of this series.

  1. I quit Blood, sadly. I only watched one or two episodes. I’m watching Cheese In a Trap and I really, really enjoy it. I think it’s amazing, that’s just me. Then there’s Moorim High. The beginning was so boring that I had thoughts of quitting but people kept saying how good it was so I persevered. Turns out it becomes better, and the characters slowly grow onto you.
