Long-time members, Horie Kizuki and Kanatsu Mizuki, have left Hello Pro Kenshuusei.
I am not going to start this post on a sweet note. I am extremely upset by this news. Kizuki joined Hello Pro Kenshuusei in 2014, after training with the NICE GIRL Project! Kenshuusei for a year.
Mizuki joined the Kenshuusei program in 2015.
Both of these girls have invested a lot of money and time training in the Kenshuusei program. They were both very talented and continued to improve as seen in their live shows and during the testing events.
I was actually stunned to see how much Mizuki had improved at this year’s testing event when she sang S/mileage’s “Watashi, Choito Kawaii Urabanchou.”
However, they were never given the opportunity to debut and showcase their talents to the world. Hello Project has yet again, lost two very skilled and precious idols. It makes me so upset to see all their hard work in the company amount to nothing, and they were not able to fulfil their dream of debuting. I know they would have done well in any of the groups, especially the new performance and theatre group.
Rumours are floating about that Kizuki has joined Hello Project staff. I hope that this rumour is true. At least she would still have a connection to the agency and will get to use her developed skills in some way.
I am apprehensive about the older Kenshuusei, such as the members of the 25th and 26th generations. What if they decided to drop out as well? Will they ever get the opportunity to debut?
There should be some opportunity for the girls to debut with vacant positions in Morning Musume and ANGERME. Also, I am still hoping for a second generation in Kobushi Factory and some additional Kenshuusei members in the two new groups. I can only hope that their training does not go to waste.
