Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim (2016)

Starring: Han Seok Kyu, Seo Hyun Jin & Yoo Yeon Seok
Episodes completed: 16
Rating: 8.0

Notes: I put this drama on hold for a while to finish “Switch Girl!! 2” and “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” but I actually really like this drama. It may not be one of my favourites, however, it has a really good storyline. It is not your typical medical dramas. There is a good mixture of romance and drama in the storyline as well. Not to mention, the issue of mental health is also highlighted in the plot. It goes to show that even doctors suffer from ailments. My favourite character is Teacher Kim. He is a total badass in and out of Doldam hospital. Read the rest of this entry

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016)
Starring: Kang Ha-Neul and IU
Episodes seen: 3
Rating: n/a
Notes: This show is going pretty good! This is a huge shock to me because I really do not like historical dramas. There is a good balance of romance and action. Not to mention, there is also a good balance of good-looking people. I will admit the handsome princes and my favourite soloist, IU, are my main motivators for this show. On the other hand, Baekhyun’s acting is making me cringe so hard. I do not hate on EXO or anything, but I am pretty tempted to skip every scene with Baekhyun in it. I cannot stand his acting and I cannot stand his narcissistic and patriarchal character. I am still pretty early in the series so we will see where it leads me.  Read the rest of this entry

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016)
Starring: Kang Ha-Neul and IU
Episodes seen: 2
Rating: n/a
Notes: When I heard that IU, Baekhyun, Joo Hyuk, and Ji Soo were all cast in this drama, I just had to watch it. I am currently on the second episode and I am enjoying it so far. Normally, I do not watch historical dramas. However, I have made an exception for this one since there is a modern-day twist to it. I really love the 4th Prince, Wang So (Lee Joon Gi), and his bad-boy personality. My only major complaint thus far is Baekhyun. His acting is pretty cringe-worthy and his character is disgustingly annoying. I have only watched two episodes, so I would not cast my judgments just yet. Read the rest of this entry

Kill Me, Heal Me Drama Review

“Kill Me, Heal Me” was one of the most successful dramas of last year. I saw references to it almost everywhere, such as social media networks, news sites, and even variety shows like “Running Man”. Initially, I did not plan on watching the show, but due to all the praise and hype, I decided to give in. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this drama. Usually, I do not really like super popular dramas (e.g. “My Love from Another Star”), but this seemed to be an exception. Read the rest of this entry

Doctors (2016)
Starring: Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye
Episodes seen: 17 (This is the episode that I am currently on)
Rating: 7.5
Notes: My ship is still broken. I have no idea who to ship Hye Jung with. The drama is progressing really well so far. However, I am kind of getting annoyed with Hye Jung, especially since she is so bent on revenge. However, I know there would be no plot without it. I just hope everything works out in the end.
